Art Show

Flannel: target
Shoes: L.A.M.B similar here
Jeans: rag & bone similar here
Clutch: Clare Vivier

Hihi.  On Wednesday night my aunt asked me if I wanted to go to an art show.  It sounded like something fun to do after work, so we headed over to the Garboushian Gallery in BH.  It turned out to be a fundraiser for the Orran foundation.  The organization's mission is to create a haven or safe place for children in the city of Yerevan, Armenia.  The goal is to get kids off the street and engage them in cultural and academic activities. You can learn about the organization here.  Half the proceeds from the art sold went to the organization.  I thought it was a great event.  It was fun and for a great cause.

TGIF…..srsly though.

I Want Wedenesday: This peacoat

image via

J.Crew: majesty peacoat

Hihi.  It's been awhile since I've done an I want Wednesday post.  I've been thinking about this coat for two weeks.  It's a bit pricey, but I tried it on at the store and it fit me like a glove.  I'm a smaller human so finding coats that fit well is usually a challenge.  Selling points: it's a classic coat that won't go out of style and it's 25% off with the code SHOPNOW.

I might buy it.

Happy shopping!

Wine Tasting!

dress: brandy melville
shoes: steve madden similar here
sun glasses: ray ban

Hihi.  I've been wanting to go wine tasting since college. I've also been meaning to visit my friends in the bay.  I finally got a chance to do both last weekend!  We ended up going to two wineries in Napa, Domaine Carneros and VSattui.   We went to Domaine Carneros first and it was gorgeous.  We got really lucky because the weather was perfect.  The winery specializes in sparkling wine, aka champagne.  It was super yummy.  I'm really sad I didn't get a chance to take pictures at the second winery.  V Sattui had a super cute picnic area where you could get barbecue and a small shop where you could get cheese and bread.  I got bbq pork ribs and potato salad and it was sooooooooooooo good.  Then we went inside and tasted like 100 wines.  If you've never gone wine tasting I suggest both places!

Happy Monday

...........with a wedding post!!  I'm so glad I finally got a chance to put together a post.  The last few months have been kinda cray.  I hope you missed me, because I missed you!

During summer I was stalking The Londoner and she had worn this super sexy dress in one of her blog posts.  I saw that it was from ASOS and it was my birthday month, so I had to get it...  I didn't ever get a chance to wear it so when I heard my sisters friend was getting married, I thought it would be the perfect opportunity.  Armenian weddings are a little over the top and so was this dress.  Perfect match, right?

Glad to be back!

Hihi.  I recently got invited to a bridal shower and was brainstorming outfit ideas even though it's not for another month.  I might be crazy, but usually when I have advance notice on any type of event I start thinking of what I am going to wear.  I usually get my mom involved in this process.  I literally make it my life's mission to find the outfit I created in my head in real life.  Sometimes it's a huge fail, but with polyvore it has become pretty easy.  I have been wanting a high waisted pencil skirt number for a little while now.  Hopefully, my outfit in real life will look just as awesome.  I will keep you posted ;)

4th of July Update!

Shorts: urban outfitters (old) similar here learn how I made mine custom here
Crop: American Apparel

Hihi.  Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

4th of July is my favorite holiday! For the past couple of years I've been celebrating in Newport Beach.  It's like frat row on a game day, except you're near the beach and not in college.  Exponentially better.  My friends from college were in town and it was really nice to catch up and party in our 4th of July gear.

Reunion: Standard Rooftop

Hihi.  This weekend my good friend from college was in town.  What better place to celebrate than at a rooftop pool party?  We decided to head to the Standard Hotel in downtown LA.  We started off with some champagne and immediately got in the pool.  The weather was so nice and warm.  There were these water guns floating around so we obvs grabbed some.  Maybe had too much fun with them...

They also had a beer garden situation set up on one side with pretzels and hotdogs (sausages?).  Towards the end of the day we couldn't help but devour a few.  It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday.

Follow me on instagram for some more updates from the weekend :)

Hihi.  It's been awhile since I've made an I want Wednesday post.  Since graduation season is upon us (maybe coming to a close?), I thought I'd make the perfect outfit to wear to a graduation party.  I love this dress from J.Crew!  I think its so fun and summery.  Black and white is also my favorite combo. I think I've posted these Zara sandals 100 times already, but it's because they are so versatile.

About that gold chain.  I was at the Grove a few weeks ago and stumbled into Topshop.  I found a gold chain necklace that looked like the one I posted, but it was $27.  I tried to find it on their website, but it wasn't there.  If you live near a Topshop or have better online shopping skillz than I do, you should save yourself like ~$15.  You can also find this same type of necklace on etsy.

Happy shopping!

Father's Day weekend!

Hihi.  For Father's Day, my family and I went down to San Diego.  The weather was gorgeous! On Sunday we went to the Seaport Village.  It's a cute little area with touristy shops near the water in downtown SD.  We stumbled upon this store. Sinfulicious. As soon as we walked in one of the sales ladies told us she was going to give us a spa treatment for free!  She took us over to these sinks and put some yummy smelling scrub on our hands.  She said our hands were going to feel amazing afterwards.  After we scrubbed she sprayed some oil on our hands that smelled so good.  We left with super smooth hands that smelled like yummy amazingness.  We even made my dad and brother do the "spa treatment".  I don't think anyone fell in love with the products except me.

I kept smelling my hands for the rest of the afternoon.  I liked the scent so much, I went back to the store and bought the oil.  Can you say sucker?

Hope everyone had a lovely Father's Day!

Two Chainz

Zara blazer
H&M shirt (old) similar here
Urban Outfitter shorts
Zara shoes
Banana Republic gold chain
Forever 21 gold chain

Hihi.  I think my blog posts from now on will be rap inspired.  I'm wearing two chains, get it? If you don't know, now you know.

A little while ago someone asked me where I got my shorts from.  I got them from Urban Outfitters, but I can't find the exact pair online.  They are Levi's brand, but I got them from that section of the store where you're not sure if what you are buying is new or used.   I guess the whole store is kind of like that.  I'm pretty sure these shorts were "vintage" aka used.  Anyway, when I bought them they were rolled over/cuffed.  I wasn't down.  I took a pair of scissors and cut them to the length I wanted them to be.  Then I made some more cuts. Then I washed them and they were kind of perfect.  So I guess I made myself a pair of custom shorts.  You should try it!

Some advice: don't experiment with a super expensive pair of shorts.  I don't know why, but some jean shorts are like $100.  If I'm paying that much for jean shorts, you best believe I'm not cutting them myself.  They should fit you like a glove if you're spending that kind of money.  Also, maybe take your shorts to a tailor to have them cut.  Even though altering my shorts was fun, one side might be shorter than the other.  I pretend like no one can tell.

Be different ;) (get it?) Ok. I'll stop now.
